Blue and Gold Banquet

The Blue and Gold Banquet is a traditional scouting celebration of the birthday of Lord Baden Powell, the founder of scouting.  Held in February every year, the banquet should be a noteworthy event.  The basic elements of a good pack meeting should be extra special for the occasion. The theme can simply be Blue & Gold, or it can be more elaborate, like Super Heroes or Star Wars.

In addition to awarding Adventure belt loops and badges, this is a great opportunity to do a crossover ceremony for Webelos who are moving up to Scouts.  Invite the Troop leaders and scouts to welcome new Webelos across the bridge and into the Troop.
